Our History
With a mission of bringing comfort and cheer to the invalid with song, Your Song was started in 2006 by a group of three women who were devoted to singing at bedside to people in nursing homes, hospitals and private homes.
The group soon expanded as others were inspired to join. The singers gathered for rehearsals through the winter and in the early spring they began singing as a group at Santa Fe Care Center twice monthly. Additionally, sometimes 2-4 women sang to private hospice patients at the request of family or hospice staff. Later, a small group began to sing at the hospital on a regular basis.
We share the mission of the national Threshold Choirs and have joined with them for regional and national singing retreats, gatherings and workshops.

Our Music
Singing a cappella, our music is chosen to provide comfort through the harmonious blending of our voices. The breadth of our repertoire captures many moods and covers a wide range -- from rounds, soothing chants and lullabies to oldies, folk and more upbeat and popular music. We are not affiliated with any particular church or religion, but have a variety of songs to appeal to those who may prefer spiritual music or hymns. We offer songs in both English and Spanish.
